Holiday Gift Fair -- December 18
Holiday Gift Fair -- December 18
The Vernon Township Historical Society will sponsor a Holiday Gift and Bake Sale on December 18 at the Vernon Township Senior Center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Many wonderful handmade gifts and baked goods will be on sale, include pottery, jewelry, furniture, and other artisan wares and crafts.
Lois, Scordato, best known as the Society’s “cookie lady,” will bake dozens of her delicious all-butter cookies, which will be festively packaged in holiday wrap for sale. Come sample her cookies and other baked goods, as the Society provides free refreshments and live entertainment for guests in celebration of the holidays.
Also on sale will be exquisite jewelry handmade by Phyllis Pfeifer, functional and artistic pottery by two local artists, tie-dyed silk scarves, and beautiful children’s mohair and faux fur hand knits that are featured and sold in major department stores and boutiques. There will also be small handmade furniture items.
All items are handmade by artists and are one-of-a-kind. The gift fair will also feature Sensaria all-natural skin care products such as body butters, green tea and mango lotions, lip balms, and more. The Society will also be selling its books on Vernon and Sussex County history, postcards, note cards, and other items that make great holiday gifts. There will also be several historic displays. Come see the many beautiful and exquisite gifts that will be on sale for the holidays.
The holiday social and gift fair will be held in the Senior Citizens Center, in the back of the Vernon Municipal Center at 21 Church Street in Vernon. For information, call Society president Jessi Paladini at 973-764-6545.
