Beautiful sterling silver and gemstone jewelry, handmade wood furniture and crafts, homemade chocolates, homemade cookies and much more will be on sale December 13 at the Vernon Township Historical Society’s annual Gift Fair and Bake Sale at its museum. This event features great gift ideas and includes free refreshments and holiday music and is free and open to the public. Come see the Historical Society’s museum and spend some time enjoying holiday cheer and good wishes with your neighbors

The Holiday Gift Fair and Social features beautiful and very affordable genuine sterling silver and gemstone jewelry by Be Jeweled!, a new business in Vernon. Other vendors include Marlene Ford and her beautiful handcrafted wood products, such as hand-painted children’s benches and beautifully hand-painted birdhouses, and Rose Mountain Chocolatiers of Highland Lakes, creators of artisan handcrafted chocolates. The event is a fundraiser by the Vernon Township Historical Society and will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the society’s museum at 293 Route 94 in Vernon. It is also an opportunity to celebrate the holidays and spend time with neighbors and friends.

In addition to the beautiful jewelry gift ideas and the wares of the artisans and crafters, the society’s books and photographs will be on sale. Proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards the continuation of the society’s many free programs for children and adults, students, and the general public at large.

The Society will be selling many other quality items that can be used as holiday gifts and stocking stuffers. There will also be a bake sale with home-baked cookies to take home for the holidays.
